They approached carefully, hugging the walls. Leo pushed open the heavy oak door.
Inside, sunlight streamed through stained glass, painting the pews in colors. An old woman knelt at the altar, praying. She didn't run. Didn't scream. Just prayed.
Leo lowered his rifle. "Clear," he called.
